Women’s golf team places third at Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament

MARSHALL, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team placed third of 12 schools at the 2019 Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament, held at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. For her performance, senior Nicole Deweyert earned All-Tournament honors.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets finished with a two-round total of 670 strokes.
- Saint Mary's (Ind.) College captured the team title with a 639. DePauw (Ind.) University was runner-up with a 655.
- Hunter Kehoe from Saint Mary's was the tournament medalist with a two-day total of 151 strokes.
FOR THE COMETS
- Deweyert tied for third-place in the player standings with a 155 (78-77).
- Senior Taylor Elley carded a two-day total of 161 strokes (80-81).
- Freshman Aynslee Myer tallied a 177 (84-93).
- Sophomore Erin Taylor posted a 185 (90-95).
UP NEXT
- The Comets begin their quest for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship next Saturday, Sept. 14, when they play the first of six league rounds at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.
