BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team stands in a tie for fifth-place after the first round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Fall Finale at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.

Par / Yardage: 72 / 5,897 yards
- The Comets completed their round with a 346 team score to match Alma College.
- Saint Mary's (Ind.) College sits on top of the team standings with a 304. Albion College is second at 336, followed by Calvin College, 342; and Hope College, 343.
- Lauren Read is the individual leader at 74.
- Junior Nicole Deweyert shares fourth-place in the player standings with a 78. She had a 38 on the front nine, including a birdie on hole No. 4, and a 40 on the back nine.
- Junior Taylor Elley was next with an 85 (41-44). She birdied hole No. 17.
- Freshman Erin Taylor carded an 88 (44-44).
- Sophomore Crystal Lettinga need 95 (46-49) strokes to finish her round.
- The second round gets under way with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
