Women’s golf team finishes in third-place at MIAA Jamboree #1
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in third-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #1, hosted by the Comets on a hot and humid day at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

MARSHALL, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team finished in third-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #1, hosted by the Comets on a hot and humid day at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet had a 334 team score to finish six strokes behind Saint Mary's (Ind.) College and one stroke behind Hope College.
- Alma College was fourth at 347, followed by Trine (Ind.) University, 362; Calvin College, 364; Albion College, 370; Adrian College, 386; and Kalamazoo College, 438.
- Megan Klintworth was the medalist with a 77.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Ashley Folleth posted a team-leading 78 to place third in the player standings. Her round included two birdies and 10 pars.
- Freshman Crystal Lettinga finished with an 80 to tie for fourth-place in the player standings. She also had 10 pars and was first in Par 5 scoring at even par.
- Sophomore Nicole Deweyert completed her round in 88 strokes. She tied for the tournament lead with three birdies.
- Junior Hayley Cooper also carded an 88.
- Sophomore Taylor Elley rounded out the Olivet lineup with a 98.
UP NEXT
- The Comets make the short trip down to Angola, Indiana, Saturday, for the second MIAA jamboree at the Zollner Golf Course. The start time for the outing is 1:30 p.m.
