UOlivet suffers 82-50 loss at Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team began the second half of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule with an 82-50 loss to Hope College today at the DeVos Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Flying Dutch built a 20-5 lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Comets cut their deficit down to five points, 24-19, with 1:49 left in the first quarter. Hope made the last basket of the quarter for a 26-19 lead to start the second period. The Flying Dutch lead grew to 21 points on multiple occasions in the second quarter, including 47-26 at halftime. Hope outscored Olivet in the second half, 35-24, for the 32-point margin of victory.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Anna Honnen came off the bench to score nine points.
- Junior Kinsley Hatfield netted eight points.
- Seniors Lily Connelly and Madison Kauffman each had seven points.
- Connelly grabbed a team-leading six rebounds.
