Women’s basketball team overtaken by No. 7 Hope
HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s basketball team came up short in a 95-18 final against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Hope College this afternoon at the DeVos Fieldhouse. Hope entered the game ranked No. 6 in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association poll and No. 7 in the D3hoops.com poll.

- The Flying Dutch led 32-3 at the end of the first quarter, 48-7 at halftime and 80-16 at the end of the third period.
- Sophomore Courtney Balazs scored a team-best six points.
- Freshman Megan Mauney grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
- Freshman Ella Gaffke blocked two shots.
- Senior Julia Decker had three steals.
- Savannah Feenstra posted team-highs in points (13) and rebounds (nine).
- Kate Majerus and Sydney Vis each had 11 points.
- Keegan Kaiser tallied four assists and five steals.
- The Comets close out the 2022-23 season next Saturday, February 18, when they travel to play Alma College at 1 p.m.
