HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women's basketball team lost an 86-54 game to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association co-leader and No. 7 nationally-ranked Hope College tonight at the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Flying Dutch led by 15 points, 22-7, at the end of the first quarter.
- The Comets opened the second quarter on an 8-2 run to trim the deficit down to nine points, 24-15. All eight points for Olivet were scored by senior Jillian Nickels.
- Hope responded with a 12-0 run to push its lead to 21 points, 36-15, at the 6:05 mark.
- After the Flying Dutch built another 21-point cushion, 41-20, the Comets scored the final four points of the quarter to make the score 41-24 at the break.
- Hope's advantage at the end of the third quarter, 24 points, 65-41, was also its largest lead of the game.
- Olivet did not get any closer for the rest of the game.
FOR THE COMETS
- Freshman Jazmin Hildebrand led all players with a game-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor.
- Nickels joined her in double figures with 18 points.
- Senior Katie McKinnon pulled down a team-high five rebounds.
FOR THE FLYING DUTCH
- Four Hope players scored in double figures, led by Francesca Buchanan's 18 points.
- Mandy Traversa had 17 points to go along with a game-high 12 rebounds.
- Angelique Gaddy and Jacquelyn Schwark finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hildebrand's previous career-scoring high was 17 points against Albion on Dec. 14, 2016.
