A school record 136 Olivet College student-athletes have landed a spot on the 2017-18 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll. Olivet succeeded the 100 plateau for the fifth time in school history.

Softball team splits doubleheader at Kalamazoo in contrasting styles
Playing its fourth doubleheader in four days, the Olivet College softball team split two games in contrasting style against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Kalamazoo College today at the K College Softball Field. The teams combined for nine hits in the opener, with the Hornets winning it 2-1. In the nightcap, the teams totaled 29 hits, with freshman Erin Scanlon hitting a walk-off home run to lead the Comets to 9-8 win in eight innings.

Softball team swept by Saint Mary’s, 1-0 and 9-2
The Olivet College softball team was swept by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) co-leader Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College this afternoon at the Purcell Athletic Complex in South Bend, Indiana. The Belles, ranked No. 7 in this week’s National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll, eked out a 1-0 win in the opener before winning the nightcap, 9-2.

The Olivet College softball team posted a doubleheader split at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today on Dempsey Field and inside the Davis Athletic Complex in Albion. In the opener, the Comets run-ruled the Britons, 12-2, in five innings. The Britons salvaged a split in the doubleheader with a come-from-behind 5-3 victory in the nightcap.

The Olivet College softball team gained a split in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader against Adrian College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. After being shut out 2-0 in the first game, the Comets scored at least one run in each of the first four innings to win the second game, 5-3.

The Flying Dutch won the first game 3-0 and withstood a seventh-inning comeback by the Comets to win the nightcap, 6-4.
