Softball team closes season with two losses against Calvin, 8-7 and 8-3
The Olivet College softball team ended the 2016 season with a pair of losses to Calvin College on a rainy Senior Day at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The first game was back-and-forth before the Knights scored a run in the seventh to win the game, 8-7. Calvin won the second game by an 8-3 score.

Softball team loses both games of home twin bill against Adrian
The Olivet College softball team lost both games of a home MIAA doubleheader against Adrian College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. In game one, the Comets rallied from a 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 lead before the Bulldogs scored four runs in the top of seventh to win the game, 7-4. Adrian then used two big hits to win the nightcap, 4-0.

Softball team splits doubleheader at Kalamazoo
The Olivet College softball team split a doubleheader against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College today in Kalamazoo. After the Hornets won the opener, 7-1, the Comets rebounded to win the nightcap, 4-1.

Softball team falls to Trine in MIAA doubleheader
The Olivet College softball team was on the losing end of both games of a doubleheader to defending MIAA champion Trine (Ind.) University today at SportONE/Parkview Softball Field in Angola, Indiana. After the Thunder won game one 17-0, they hung on to beat the Comets, 5-3, in game two.

The Olivet College softball team was swept by Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College on a sun-drenched afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Belles claimed 9-2 and 6-1 wins over the Comets.

Grubb’s no-hitter in game one helps softball team win two mercy-rule games over Albion
Junior Ashlynn Grubb threw the 12th no-hitter in school history in game one to help the Olivet College softball team open MIAA play with two mercy-rule wins over Albion this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets won the first game, 10-0, in five innings and the second game, 13-4, in six innings.

The Olivet College softball team split a non-conference doubleheader against Cornerstone University in contrasting fashion this afternoon in Grand Rapids. The Comets posted an 11-3 run-rule victory in game one. The Golden Eagles came back to win the nightcap, 3-0.

The Olivet College softball team split its home-opening doubleheader against Defiance (Ohio) College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets won the first game, 9-1, in five innings before the Yellow Jackets salvaged the split with a 10-3 win in game two.
