Cross country teams run at MSU Spartan Invitational
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams ran today at the 2016 Michigan State University Spartan Invitational. The races featuring schools from all NCAA, NJCAA and NAIA levels and more than 750 combined runners took place at the Forest Acres East Golf Course in East Lansing.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams ran today at the 2016 Michigan State University Spartan Invitational. The races featuring schools from all NCAA, NJCAA and NAIA levels and more than 750 combined runners took place at the Forest Acres East Golf Course in East Lansing.
THE BASICS
Location: Forest Acres East Golf Course; East Lansing, Mich.
FOR THE COMET MEN (8K RUN)
- Junior Bruce Baker claimed Olivet's best finish, as he ran the race in 26:27 to place 89th.
- Senior Connor Bauserman clocked-in at 27:57.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN (6K RUN)
- Senior Allyson Schultz was the highest finisher, as she completed the race in 25:49.
- Sophomore Jessica Taylor was next at 26:58, followed by sophomore Nicole Sebok and junior Nicole Zerfas at 27:50 and 27:51, respectively.
- Senior Brianna Wiles posted a personal-best 6K time at 28:06.
UP NEXT
- Olivet is back in action next Saturday, Sept. 24, when it competes at the 2016 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree. Alma College is hosting the jamboree at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.
