Pringles garner MCVL All-Academic Team honors
Olivet College senior Rhett Pringle and sophomore Zach Pringle have garnered Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League All-Academic Team honors for the 2017-18 academic year.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College senior Rhett Pringle and sophomore Zach Pringle have garnered Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League All-Academic Team honors for the 2017-18 academic year. To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a varsity letter and have a 3.30 or higher grade point average for the entire academic year.
For the 2018 season, Rhett played in all 23 matches and 79 set, leading the Comets with a single-season school record 22 service aces. He was third on the team with 145 kills and 105 digs. Pringle saw action in 18 matches (48 sets), while tallying 22 kill and 70 digs.
Both are repeat selections to the MCVL All-Academic Team, Rhett for a third straight year and Zach for a second consecutive year. Rhett ended his Olivet career as the all-time leader in attack attempts (1,197), service aces (47), sets played (226) and matches played (68). Zach has played in 41 career matches and has totaled 38 kills and 149 digs.
