Men’s volleyball team sweeps Concordia in three sets
The Olivet College men’s volleyball team swept Concordia (Wis.) University in three sets this evening at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Comets won by scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-21.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's volleyball team swept Concordia (Wis.) University in three sets this evening at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Comets won by scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a 5-5 tie in the first set, the Comets used three kills by senior Rhett Pringle and one kill by sophomore Logan Blough to go up 9-5. Olivet did not relinquish the lead for the rest of the set, leading by as many as eight points at 24-16.
- The Falcons held a 4-3 lead in the second set. Three kills by sophomore Trent Robinson and a double block by Robinson and freshman Dan Hayes put the Comets ahead 7-4. Concordia battled back to trim its deficit down to a single point, 16-15. Olivet then put nine of the final 12 points on the scoreboard to win the set.
- Behind the service of Blough, the Comets scored the first six points. The Falcons were never able to recover, as Olivet never gave up the lead.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet posted a .250 attack percentage, with 36 kills (13 errors) on 92 attempts.
- Robinson topped the team with 12 kills to go along with a .435 hitting percentage.
- Rhett Pringle finished with nine kills and hit at a .333 clip.
- Blough and sophomore Brock Pringle each had five kills.
- Freshman Tanner Gardenour collected 32 set assists.
- Blough shared match-high honors with 14 digs.
FOR THE FALCONS
- Concordia recorded a -.010 attack percentage, with 22 kills (23 errors) on 96 attempts.
- Sam Rovik tallied a team-high nine kills.
- Matthew Korman dished out 14 set assists.
- Jeremy Theis had 14 digs.

- The Comets welcome Wittenberg (Ohio) University to The Cutler Event Center tomorrow night for a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match. First serve is at 7 p.m.
