Men’s indoor track and field team ranked regionally at No. 9
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Olivet College men’s track and field is ranked No. 9 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Great Lakes Region Rating Index #2.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Olivet College men's track and field team is ranked No. 9 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Great Lakes Region Rating Index #2.
The rating index is based on qualifying marks from the 2023 indoor track and field season. Currently, the Comets have a 110.42 rating index total. Senior Jordon Brown's performances in the 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and long jump provide 46.94 points towards Olivet's totals.
Also contributing individually to the total are junior Hayden Germain in the 800-meter run, senior Chase Mendham in the mile, junior Chris Davis in the 3000-meter run, senior John C Downey in the heptathlon, and senior Byron Pearce in the shot put and weight throw.
The distance medley relay team of Mendham, Davis, junior Hunter Hillard and freshman Noah Feudi is ranked second in the region and has scored 20.98 points towards the index. The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Brown, Germain, Mendham and freshman Jonathan Holloway has scored 11.01 points.
