Eight track & field student-athletes compete at GVSU Big Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Eight Olivet College indoor track & field student-athletes competed today at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet inside the Kelly Family Sports Center in Allendale.

• Freshman Kyle McDowell set a school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.93 seconds.
• Freshman Kyle Markley ran the 5,000-meter run in a personal-best time of 16:20.85.
• Junior Noah Bailey leaped 46 feet, 5-1/4 inches in the triple jump.
• Sophomore Tyler Chavalia completed the 60-meter dash in 7.47 seconds.
• Freshman Tyler Peck tallied a season-best time of 1:26.79 in the 600-meter run.

• Freshman Lillian Albaugh broke her own school record in the shot put with a 44 feet, 9-1/2 inch toss.
• Senior Michaela Kaliniak cleared the bar at 10 feet, 6-3/4 inches in the pole vault.
• Sophomore Ariel Floyd had a mark of 48 feet, 1/2 inch in the weight throw.

• Olivet competes at the Hillsdale College Tune Up Saturday, Feb. 16.
