Track and field athletes take part in Hillsdale Tune-Up
The Olivet College men’s and women’s indoor track & field teams took part today in the Hillsdale College Tune-Up at the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center in Hillsdale.

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's indoor track & field teams took part today in the Hillsdale College Tune-Up at the Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center in Hillsdale.
FOR THE MEN
- Noah Bailey won the 400-meter dash in a season-best time of 52.02 seconds. He also placed sixth in the long jump, leaping 20 feet and 3-3/4 inches.
- Zane Paksi finished sixth and broke the school record in the pole vault, as he soared over the bar at 12 feet and 8-1/4 inches.
- Jacob Smith threw the shot put 45 feet and 1 inch to place sixth.
- Tyler Chavalia crossed the line in seventh-place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.11 seconds.
FOR THE WOMEN
- Madison Grace was fourth in the weight throw with a personal best and school-record mark of 47 feet and 9 inches.
- Michaela Kaliniak matched her own school record performance in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10 feet and 8-3/4 inches.

- The Comets compete next Saturday, Feb. 24, at the 2018 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championship inside the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic & Recreation Center in Angola, Indiana.
