Men’s tennis team shutout by Trine

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis was defeated by Trine (Ind.) University, 9-0, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match today at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek.

Records: Olivet 1-10 overall, 0-4 MIAA; Trine 8-8 overall, 2-2 MIAA
- Due to the Comets having only five players, the Thunder picked-up default wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. Trine won the two contested doubles flights and swept the five contested singles flights in straight sets.
- The No. 1 doubles team of freshman Benjamin Morrow and junior Tyler Nobel fell 8-4.
- Morrow won the most games in singles play, losing 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 1 slot.
- The Comets go on the road for their final three matches of the season. The first is Tuesday against MIAA leader and nationally-ranked Kalamazoo College. First serve is at 4 p.m.
