Men’s tennis team suffers 9-0 loss at Alma

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College men's tennis team came up short against Alma College, 9-0, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) match Friday afternoon at the Superior Street Tennis Complex in Alma.

Records: Olivet 1-7 overall, 0-3 MIAA; Alma 6-6 overall, 2-0 MIAA
- Playing with only five players, the Scots earned wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by default. Of the contested matches, Alma won the two pro-set doubles matches and won the five singles matches in straight sets.
- The No. 2 doubles duo of senior Austin Briggs and junior Tyler Nobel lost a close 8-6 pro-set.
- At No. 1 singles, freshman Benjamin Morrow won three games in each set.
- Briggs fell short in a close 7-5, 6-3 decision at No. 4 singles.
- Olivet plays a non-conference match next Wednesday, April 3, at Concordia University-Ann Arbor. The match gets under way at 4 p.m.
