Men’s soccer team falls to Kalamazoo, 3-0, on Senior Day

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team lost by a 3-0 score Kalamazoo College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) game this afternoon at the Olivet Community Schools Stadium.

• The Hornets led 1-0 behind a goal by Emilio Romo in the 12th minute.
• The Comets had a great chance to score the equalizer in the 31st minute but senior Joshua Rosendale's header was saved by the keeper.
• The score stayed 1-0 at the halftime break.
• Romo extended Kalamazoo's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 69th minute.
• The Hornets capped the scoring with their final goal in the with just under five minutes remaining in the game.

• Olivet tallied four shots in the game.
• Rosendale, freshman Noah Herring and sophomore David James each recorded a shot-on-goal.
• Senior Andrew Aragon started in goal and played the first 75 minutes. He made five saves.
• Sophomore Carlos Santos finished the game in net and had five saves.

• Kalamazoo registered 28 total shots, placing 13 on-frame.
• Romo scored his two goals on four shots.
• Michele Alia took a team-best six shots and tallied the third goal.
• Luke Kastran earned the shutout win in goal. He collected three saves.

• The Comets wrap-up the regular season portion of their schedule next Wednesday, October 27, at Adrian College. Game time at Docking Stadium is 7 p.m.
