SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Olivet College men's soccer team rallied but came up short against Wittenberg (Ohio) University, 2-1, on a rainy day at Edwards-Mauer Field in Springfield, Ohio.

Records: Wittenberg 3-2 overall, Olivet 1-4 overall
- The Tigers led 2-0 at halftime behind goals in the 12th and 20th minute.
- The Comets cut their deficit in half in the 63rd minute when senior David Magallon found the back of the net.
- Olivet was held to six shot, with two being placed on-goal.
- Magallon took two shots, and four other players each had one.
- Freshman Brendan Ihm was in goal for the entire game and collected four saves.
- Eli Esterline and Alberto Zaragoza scored the goals. Both also had four shots.
- Jack Snider picked-up the win in goal.
- Today's game was the second all-time meeting against the Tigers. The teams tied the previous meeting, 0-0, on Sept. 18, 2016, and that game was played on the Comets' home field.
- Olivet hosts Defiance (Ohio) College Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
