MADISON, Wis. – The Olivet College men's soccer team was defeated by Edgewood (Wis.) College, 3-0, tonight under the lights at Goodman Pitch-East in Madison, Wisconsin.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when Sean Surtees converted a penalty kick goal.
- Surtees scored another penalty kick goal in the 10th minute of the second half to put Edgewood ahead 2-0.
- The Eagles put the game out of reach when Luke Miller found the back of the net in the 62nd minute.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet out-shot Edgewood, 23-17, and had an 8-7 edge in corner kicks but the Eagles posted a 9-5 advantage in shot-on-goal.
- Junior David Magallon topped the team with eight total shots.
- Senior Vince Geremia finished with three shots.
- Senior Evan Shirkey, sophomore Courtney Skerritt and freshman Joshua Rosendale each had two shots.
- Freshman Justin Lavin was in the goal for the entire game, and turned aside six shots.
FOR THE EAGLES
- To go along with his goal, Miller recorded a team-best four shots.
- Garrett Lee had three shots, all on-goal.
- Dan Dombroski provided the shutout in goal and collected five saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tonight's game marked the first time the Comets have played the Eagles in men's soccer, and it is also believed to be the first-ever time the teams have played each other in any sport.
