Men’s soccer team beats Tri-State (Ind.), 3-0, for third straight win
The Olivet College men’s soccer team extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-0 shutout victory today at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Tri-State (Ind.) University.

The Olivet College men's soccer team extended its winning streak to three games with a 3-0 shutout victory today at Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Tri-State (Ind.) University.
Three different players scored a goal for the Comets (3-5, 2-0 MIAA). In the 12th minute, freshman Graham Lockwood (Haslett/Williamston) had the first goal off a pass by sophomore Alan Holdorf (Novi). Holdorf tallied a goal in the 54th minute and senior Rudy Pulido (Holt) received credit for an assist. Junior Corey Evans (Mason) scored a goal at the 79:43 mark and freshman Brian Knechtges (Williamston) earned the assist.
Olivet had a 15-13 edge in shots, including a 10-4 advantage in shots-on-goal. Holdorf led the Comets with seven shots. He and senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc) shared team-high honors with three shots-on-goal. Senior Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) played all 90 minutes in goal and made four saves.
The Comets will host two MIAA games next week. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Olivet will play Kalamazoo College at 4 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 1, they will play Hope College at 2 p.m.
