The Fighting Comets (3-12-4, 1-11-1 MIAA) jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 2:49 into the game. Freshman Ryan Scott (Williamston High School) found the back of the net on a rebound to his initial shot, which hit the right post. The score was set-up on a free kick by junior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc High School). The Britons (9-9-1, 7-6-0 MIAA) tallied three unanswered goals in span of just over nine minutes, between the 7:33 and 16:55 mark, and eventually led 4-1 at halftime.
For the game, Albion held a 29-5 advantage in shots. The Britons also took 14 corner kicks to three by the Comets. Junior goalkeeper Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids High School) played the entire game and made seven saves.
Olivet wraps up its 2004 season Saturday, Nov. 6, at Tri-State (Ind.) University at 1:30 p.m.
