OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team suffered a 22-4 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Trine (Ind.) University today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thunder tallied six goals in the first quarter and three more goals in the second quarter to take a 9-0 halftime lead.
- Trine added 10 goals, including three man-up ones, in the third quarter to go up 19-0.
- The Comets scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter before Trine scored the next three goals to make the score 22-3.
- Olivet put the final goal on the scoreboard with 41 seconds remaining in the game.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Cameron Bazin led Olivet with three goals and 13 shots (nine on-goal).
- The fourth goal was scored by freshman Casey Petersen.
- Defensively, freshman Connor Hamm recorded a game-high five caused turnovers and eight ground balls.
- Senior Cullen Haesler had three caused turnovers and seven ground balls.
- Freshman Jake Steele registered 10 saves in the cage.
FOR THE THUNDER
- Kevin Barssi notched seven goals on 10 shots.
- Eric Peal paced all players with eight points on six goals and two assists.
- Conner Putman finished with five goals and an assist for six points.
- Nick Maher topped the team with five helpers to go along with two goals for seven points.
- Garrett Nichols scooped-up a team-leading six ground balls.
- Goalies Joseph Steigmeyer and Anthony Marasco each made five saves.
