Men’s lacrosse team falls to Hope, 20-5
The Olivet College men’s lacrosse team was on the losing end of a 20-5 final to Hope College tonight under the lights at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. In the game, senior Cameron Bazin became Olivet’s all-time leader in goals scored.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team was on the losing end of a 20-5 final to Hope College tonight under the lights at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. In the game, senior Cameron Bazin became Olivet's all-time leader in goals scored.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hope scored the first six goals in the game. The Comets scored the final goal of the opening quarter when Bazin found the back of the cage with 1:55 left.
- The Flying Dutchmen had a 4-2 scoring edge in the second quarter to take a 10-3 lead at halftime.
- Olivet netted the first two goals of the third quarter before Hope ended the game with 10 unanswered goals – six in the third stanza and four in the fourth stanza.
FOR THE COMETS
- Bazin led Olivet with four goals and 10 shots.
- Freshman Kobe Robinson scored the fifth goal.
- Senior Cullen Haesler and freshman Connor Hamm each gathered in six ground balls.
- Hamm had a game-best four caused turnovers.
- Freshman goalie Jake Steele made 14 saves.
FOR THE FLYING DUTCHMEN
- Rocco Mularoni posted match-highs in goals (six) and points (eight).
- Gino Battaglia and Max Kuiper each scored four goals.
- Grant Brogan had a match-best three assists.
- Marshall VanBelkum won 14-of-18 face-offs.
- Nick Schanhals picked-up the win in goal. He stopped 11 shots while playing the first 52:04.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Bazin now has 138 career goals at Olivet. He passed Dakota Badder who had 136 from 2013-16.

- Olivet welcomes Kalamazoo College to the Cutler Athletic Complex Saturday for a 3 p.m. game. The game is a part of a lacrosse doubleheader, as the Comet women face Albion College at noon.
