Men’s lacrosse team comes up short at Elmhurst

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team was defeated by Elmhurst (Ill.) College, 24-1, today at Langhorst Field in Elmhurst, Illinois.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bluejays scored nine goals in both the first and second quarters for an 18-0 halftime lead.
- Elmhurst added three more goals in the third quarter to go up 21-0.
- The Comets tallied their goal 54 seconds into the fourth stanza. The Bluejays put the final three goals of the game on the scoreboard.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Cameron Bazin scored Olivet's lone goal. He also took a team-high 11 shots.
- Senior Cullen Haesler scooped-up a team-leading nine ground balls.
- Freshman Jake Steele made 12 saves, while playing all 60 minutes in the cage.
FOR THE BLUEJAYS
- Andrew French topped the team with seven points on five goals and two assists.
- Mac Harden had six points on four goals and two assists.
- Carter Meyer won 20-of-24 face-offs and registered a game-high 13 ground balls.
- Jacob Delgado was the winning keeper. He made nine saves

- Olivet hosts Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) next Saturday, March 24. The opening face-off at the Cutler Athletic Complex is scheduled for 5 p.m.
