The Olivet College men’s lacrosse team lost 17-9 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College in its regular season finale this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team lost 17-9 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College in its regular season finale this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Britons outscored the Comets, 5-2, in the first two quarters to take a 10-4 halftime lead.
- Albion stretched its lead to 14-6 with a 4-2 scoring advantage in the third quarter.
- The Britons netted the first three goals of the final quarter to go up 17-6.
- Olivet put the final three goals on the scoreboard, including two by senior Nino Minaudo, for the final margin.
FOR THE COMETS
- Minaudo finished the game with three points on two goals and an assist. He also recorded a game-high nine shots.
- Senior Logan Krieger also had three points on one goal and two assists.
- Freshman Trevor Bailey tallied two goals.
- The other goals were by seniors Tyler Polendo and Shane Prunty, and sophomores Bryce Drew and Zach Sanders.
- Senior Charlie Haesler caused a game-high five turnovers, while notching four ground balls.
- Junior Cullen Haesler scooped-up a team-leading five ground balls.
- Senior Drew Radners played all 60 minutes in goal and made 13 saves.
FOR THE BRITONS
- Drew Harm led all players with five goals.
- Brandon Lebioda also finished with five points on three goals and two assists.
- John Cooke had three goals.
- Trevor McManus collected 15 saves in the cage.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- With his three points, Minaudo has 50 points in 2017, which is the 10th-most in school history for a single-season. His 26 assists are fourth-most.
- Polendo has 34 goals in 2017, which is the ninth-most in school history for a season.
