Olivet College’s Bazin earns All-MIAA honors in men’s lacrosse
Olivet College freshman Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) has earned 2013 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team honors for men’s lacrosse. All-conference honors are based on a player’s statistics during the six-game MIAA schedule.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) has earned 2013 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team honors for men's lacrosse. All-conference honors are based on a player's statistics during the six-game MIAA schedule.
Bazin tied for the MIAA lead in total goals (20) and led the league in total shots (59). He also ranked second in shots per game (9.83), tied for second in goals per game (3.33) and total points (28), third in ground balls per game (8.17) and total ground balls (49), fourth in points per game (4.67) and fifth in man-up goals (three). Overall, Bazin is currently tied for first among all NCAA Division III players in total goals (69) and fourth in total points (99).
"I am extremely proud of Cam," said first-year Head Coach Adam Hague. "He worked extremely hard and we would not have had the success this season without him. It is also special because Cam becomes the first men's lacrosse player in school history to earn All-MIAA honors."
