Men’s lacrosse team beaten by Adrian, 23-2
The Olivet College men’s lacrosse team suffered a 23-2 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Adrian College tonight at Performance Stadium in Adrian.
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team suffered a 23-2 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Adrian College tonight at Performance Stadium in Adrian.
The Bulldogs held an 8-0 lead after the first quarter. The Comets scored the first goal of the second quarter when freshman Jack Ranson found the back of the net. Adrian then reeled off seven unanswered goals to take a 15-1 lead at halftime. The Bulldogs extended their lead to 19-1 until freshman James Collins scored for Olivet with 4:25 left in the third quarter. Adrian added another goal in the third and three in the fourth quarter for the final margin.
The Comets were held to a season-low 12 shots. Ranson had half of the shots, while freshman Cameron Bazin and Collins had three and two, respectively. Sophomore Ryan McGee tied his season-high with 19 saves, while facing 46 Bulldog shots.
Olivet will host Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
