Men’s lacrosse team beats Lyndon State, 22-4
The Olivet College men’s lacrosse team finished its trip to Vermont with a 22-4 win over Lyndon State College today at St. Michael’s College in Castleton, Vt.
CASTLETON, Vt. – The Olivet College men's lacrosse team finished its trip to Vermont with a 22-4 win over Lyndon State College today at St. Michael's College in Castleton, Vt.
After one quarter, the Comets led 4-1. Olivet outscored the Hornets 7-0 in the second quarter to take an 11-0 lead at halftime. The Comets added eight more goals to their total in the third quarter to take a 19-4 lead, and then they capped their scoring with three fourth-quarter goals.
Freshman Cameron Bazin (Troy/Athens) finished the game with nine goals and two assists for 11 points. Freshman James Collins (Lowell) contributed seven goals, while freshman Matt Arb (Troy/Athens) tallied three goals and team-high six assists for nine points. Freshman Sheldon Berry (Traverse City/Central) scored two goals and won 9-of-18 face-offs. Sophomore Ryan McGee (Traverse City/Central) made 12 saves on 21 shots faced.
Olivet will start making its trip back to Michigan and stop to play Defiance (Ohio) College Saturday at 1 p.m.
