Men’s golf team places 12th at 2019 Lou Collins Memorial

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team placed 12th at the 2019 Lou Collins Memorial Tournament, held at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek.

• After carding a 335 team in Friday's round, the Comets shaved 11 strokes off their team score in today's second round to give them a 359 two-round total.
• Allegheny (Pa.) College slipped past Trine (Ind.) University for the team title by one stroke, 589-590.
• Tyler Pham from Allegheny was the tournament medalist with a two-day score of 143 strokes.

• Junior Nicholas Hoffman finished with a two-day total of 161 strokes.
• After shooting an 86 in the opening round, junior Cameron Lemon improved by eight strokes in the second round for a two-day total of 164 strokes.
• Freshman Isiah Strand posted a two-round total of 166 strokes. On his first hole in today's round, he sunk a 161-foot shot for an eagle on the par 4, 419-yard No. 9.
• Freshman Kurtis Wolfram finished two strokes behind with a 168 (86-82).
• Freshman Wes Darrow completed his two rounds in 175 strokes.
