Men’s golf team completes MIAA Jamboree #2 in seventh
The Olivet College men’s golf team took seventh-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2, played today at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team took seventh-place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2, played today at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets returned to the clubhouse with a 320 team score, 10 strokes behind sixth-place Adrian College.
- Calvin College had three golfers shoot a one-under par 71 en route to a first-place finish with a 287.
- Hope College was second at 292, followed by Kalamazoo College, 294; Trine (Ind.) University, 298; and Albion College, 307.
- Nick Ludka from Kalamazoo and Cameron Ruge shared medalist honors with two-under par 70s.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Tanor Blowers and freshman Nicholas Hoffman shot matching 79s.
- Freshman Zach Dowling and senior Joey Richmond were a stroke behind with 80s.
- Senior Joseph Gauck rounded out the Olivet lineup with an 83.
MIAA STANDINGS
- After two rounds, Calvin sits on top of the MIAA ledger with a 578. Hope is five strokes behind at 583, followed by Kalamazoo, 601; Adrian, 608; Trine, 613; Albion, 617; Olivet, 627; and Alma, 680.

- The third MIAA jamboree is Monday, Sept. 25, at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive.
