Men’s golf team finishes in fifth-place at OWU Invitational
The Olivet College men's golf team finished in fifth-place at the 2006 Ohio Wesleyan University Strimer Memorial Invitational. Today’s second round was played at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio, while Saturday’s first round was played at the Dornoch Golf Club.

The Comets carded a team score of 608 strokes. Out of 17 schools, Ohio Wesleyan won the team championship with a 588, finishing one stroke ahead of Otterbein (Ohio) College. Franklin (Ind.) College was third with a 601, followed by DePauw (Ind.) University with a 605. Tim Fish from Franklin earned medalist honors with a 143.
Olivet was led by freshman Robbe Trout (Charlotte), who posted a two-day score of 147 strokes, including a 71 in Saturday's first round. The 147 placed him in a tie for sixth-place in the individual standings. Sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy) was next with a 152, followed by freshman Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario) with a 154. Seniors Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario/McKinnon Park) and Steve Ross (Rockford) rounded out the Comet lineup with a 160 and 164, respectively. Ward fired a team-low round of 75 strokes in today's round.
