Men’s golf team places third at MIAA Jamboree #3
The Olivet College men’s golf team placed third today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #3, which was played at the Pine River Country Club in Alma.

The Comets carded a team score of 298 strokes. Hope College won the team title with a 291, followed by Tri-State (Ind.) University at 298. After three jamborees, Hope takes control of the overall standings with an 897. Tri-State is two strokes behind at 899 and Olivet is third at 914.
Today, junior Derrick Sayers (Battle Creek/Lakeview) was second with a 69. Freshman Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/ International) finished in sixth with a 71. Freshmen Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) and Robbe Trout (Charlotte) each carded a 79. Sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) closed the Olivet scoring with an 80.
The fourth MIAA Jamboree is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21 as Kalamazoo hosts it at The Prairies Golf Course.
