ALMA, Mich. – Junior Tracy Edmond made a layup with 4.1 seconds left to help the Olivet College men's basketball team stun Alma College, 89-88, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) game today at Art Smith Arena in Alma.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Scots led by as many as 13 points, 32-19, with 7:20 left in the first half. Olivet fought back and trailed by only six points, 43-37, at halftime.
- In the second half, Alma stretched its lead back to 13 points, 67-54, at the 11:17 mark. The Scots continued to hold the lead until a three-point play by senior Jalen Adams tied the game at 85-85 with 1:46 remaining in the game.
- Kevin Scheibert made a jumper to put the Scots ahead before a jumper leveled the score at 87-87. Alma's Amari Hudson split two free throws with 31 seconds left. Senior Aaron Washington grabbed the rebound after the missed free throw.
- With the clock winding down, Edmond shot a floater in the lane and the ball went through the hoop to give the Comets their first lead in the game. The Scots called a timeout but a buzzer-beating three-point try from the top of the arc caromed off the rim.
FOR THE COMETS
- Adams led all players with 34 points on 13-of-24 shooting from the floor and 8-of-9 shooting from the free throw line. He also grabbed eight rebounds.
- Edmond finished with 33 points, making 10-of-19 baskets, including two from behind the arc, and 11-of-13 free throws.
- Senior Eldridge Mason scored 13 points.
- As a team, Olivet made 24-of-28 free throws.
FOR THE SCOTS
- Scheibert notched a team-leading 18 points to go along with eight rebounds.
- Rob Holmes added 15 points.
- Jason Majerle contributed 14 points.
