McClary earns MIAA Player of the Week honors

McClary scored 45 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and blocked five shots, as the Comets split two games at the Wittenberg (Ohio) University/Charles B. Zimmerman Memorial Classic Dec. 29-30. In a 55-49 loss to the host Tigers, he recorded his sixth double-double, 13 rebounds and 14 rebounds, of the season. McClary, who is being honored as the Player of the Week for the third time this season, scored 32 points, pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots, in Olivet's 89-77 win over Ohio Dominican University. For the tournament, he made 19-of-29 shots (65 percent).
For the season, McClary leads the team and the MIAA in scoring (17.5 ppg), rebounding (10.9 rpg), field goal percentage (52.6 percent), offensive rebounds (3.27 rpg), defensive rebounds (7.64 rpg) and minutes played (32.91 mpg). He is the only player in league play, who is averaging a double-double.
