Adams III named to D3football.com All-North Region team

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Olivet College freshman cornerback John Adams III has been named to the 2017 D3football.com All-North Region third-team.

A first-team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection, Adams III led the Comets' secondary with 18 pass break-ups. He also had three interceptions and 35 total tackles, 25 solo and 10 assisted. On special teams, Adams III returned 11 kickoffs for 356 yards. Against Aurora (Ill.) University, he was the first player in school history to return a kickoff for a touchdown and an interception for a touchdown in the same game. The 99 yards kickoff return was the second-longest in school history.
