The Olivet College baseball team fell to Keystone (Pa.) College, 8-2, this afternoon at the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Fla.
Leading the Comet offense was junior Matt Smoker (Bronson), who went 2-for-2 at the dish. Senior Brandon Goodman (Portage/Portage Central) drove in both Olivet runs in the eighth inning. Senior Rob Swanson (Marshall) scored one run. Freshman Jacob Blamer (Newaygo) walked three times and scored one run. On the mound, freshman Justin Pitt (Imlay City) was charged with the loss.
The Comets will play their final spring break game tomorrow morning at 9:15 a.m. against Rensselaer (N.Y.) Polytechnic Institute.
