Friends of Olivet College athletics
This week’s Dean Trailways Comets of the Week are the friends, students, athletes and alumni of Olivet College who financially supported the P.C.U.P.S. Foundation during the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Prostate Cancer Awareness week. Collectively, this group of people raised approximately $900 for the P.C.U.P.S. Foundation. P.C.U.P.S. stands for Prostate Cancer -- Understanding, Prevention, Screenings.
The P.C.U.P.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Mount Pleasant, Mich., aims to promote prostate cancer awareness through sport and recreation. P.C.U.P.S.' mission is to ensure the quality of men's everyday lifestyle and save lives by educating people about prostate cancer and helping save lives through early-detection screenings. Since 2012, The P.C.U.P.S. Foundation has raised over $125,000 and has provided over 1,500 PSA screenings for men in northeast Michigan.
